Refund Policy

Plain, generous, and honoured.

A rite is not a haircut. We have tried to write a refund policy that respects both the preparation the pandit has already done, and the complexities of life that cause plans to change.

The windows

The pandit has committed their morning. You may reschedule, not refund.
After the rite has begun

The rite proceeds to completion, as is scripturally required.

Force majeure is separate

If a rite cannot be performed because of flooding, temple closure, government restriction, or the illness of the assigned pandit, you receive a full refund regardless of the window. Or we reschedule — your choice.

Dissatisfaction

If you watched your rite and it did not meet your expectations — the pandit was late, the rite abbreviated, the pronunciation wrong — write to us within 30 days. We review each case personally, and if our standards have not been met, we refund in full and do not charge you to redo the rite.

How we return the money

Refunds are reconciled against the original WooCommerce order and returned through the applicable bank-transfer process. The timeline depends on the banking rails used for the return.

Gift refunds

If a rite was gifted to you and you cannot accept it, write to us and we refund the giver — not you — unless the giver explicitly authorises otherwise.

Sponsored rites

Sponsorships to our waitlist fund are non-refundable once we have matched the sponsorship to a waiting family (typically within 48 hours of your gift). Before matching, full refund applies.
